All hail the mighty Def Jam. Even though I missed the replay and the original airing of VH1’s Hip-Hop Honors, the good godfather of Rap Radar decided to help you bastids out with a little musical history of Def Jam’s 25 years in hip-hop. Now, I agree with him when he says that the current 5-disc set the company put out is a little bit on the hmm side, so there’s nothing wrong with YN doing us hip-hop fans a service by dropping five discs of classics covering 1984 to 2009 from the World’s Greatest Hip-Hop Label.
